Recently, a retail energy provider began to recognize that more and more of its own customers were managing aspects of their account while on-the-go — or at least, that's what they wanted to do. The client wanted to provide its customers with advanced "My Account" functionality on iPhone and Android devices. However, the company lacked the means to properly do so on its own. The team at Pariveda was able to partner with the client to co-create value.
Accessing your account from your phone
Pariveda was able to successfully leverage both Xamarin and Xamarin.Forms to provide a cost and time-efficient cross-platform solution with native performance on all necessary devices. Microsoft Azure services were employed to provide something of a "mobile middleware" with third-party services that could be used for critical functions such as authentication, as well as both SMS and SMTP messaging.
Electricity available at your fingertips
At the end of the project, the team at Pariveda was able to deliver an application to all app stores (including the iTunes App store and the Google Play store) that systematically met all of the requirements on the client's strategic roadmap. Along the same lines, Pariveda was able to use Xamarin Test Cloud to provide repeatable and dependable application testing against many devices and form factors. Not only does the application work flawlessly on today's devices, but it is also future-proofed and ready to go against anything that mobile device providers release in the future.
The client was incredibly satisfied with the results, and Pariveda's own customers love the ability to manage any aspect of their account from any mobile device that they happen to own with an active internet connection.
