Overview

A technology and entrepreneurial leader, Eric is committed to the creation of great software that improves business performance. His passion is helping executives and their teams build comprehensive financial applications that take advantage of the power and reach of modeling and reporting techniques. He is often sought after for his financial modeling experience and has helped several investment firm leaders enhance their internal modeling and reporting capabilities.

Experience

With his many years of experience in software development and technology consulting, Eric has helped leading executives evolve their strategies and expand their product offerings to drive increased revenue. His recent experience has been focused in the financial services industry, specifically working with hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate investment, investment management firms and corporations.

Eric is the author of three books - Developing Excel 5 Solutions, Developing Excel 95 Solutions and the Excel 97 Developers Handbook (all published by Microsoft Press).

Prior to joining Pariveda, Eric was Founder, CEO & President of Softagon Corporation, a financial software and services consulting firm, where he was responsible for growing and leading the organization to serve investment firms world-wide. Prior to founding Softagon, Eric was deeply involved in the efforts to broaden the reach and depth of Microsoft platforms as development tools. While at Microsoft Corporation, he served as product manager for a series of successful releases of Microsoft Excel, led the marketing roll-out for Visual Basic for Applications in Excel 5, and served as group product manager in charge of corporate marketing for Office 97.

Outside of the Office

Out of the office, Eric enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, running and reading.

Education and Service

Mr. Wells received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and an MBA from UCLA.
