Managing Vice President - Alliances

Overview

Mr. Christopher Paul has over 23 years of consulting experience. He has helped clients around the world leverage advanced technology and process improvement to increase business performance. While his clients have ranged in size from early stage startups to global corporations, Christopher encourages clients of all sizes to focus on the people issues that can have a profound impact on the success or failure of strategic programs. He has helped business and IT leaders explore how recent trends such as cloud, mobile and social will go beyond systems and impact their organizations.

Experience

Christopher brings a wealth of High Tech Industry and CRM experience to the firm. The cutting edge nature of the High Tech industry has provided Christopher the opportunity to work with many technology platforms and solutions in their infancy. His clients were among the earliest adopters of SaaS-based CRM applications and he started helping clients develop Mobility applications 20 years ago while working at ExIS, a joint venture between Apple and KPMG. Although Christopher has leveraged many advanced technologies, he has always measured success through business impact rather than technology deployment. He has helped numerous clients improve their Sales Effectiveness and User Adoption through common sense methods.

Prior to joining Pariveda, Christopher led Hitachi Consulting’s High Tech Industry Practice where he developed thought leadership and go-to-market materials for High Tech sectors including electronics, software, internet, medical devices and clean technology. Prior to Hitachi Consulting, he was the co-founder and CEO of The Velocity Group, a boutique consulting firm with services aimed at the High Tech, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Clean Tech industries. In addition to providing cloud-related service offerings, the firm’s infrastructure was 100% cloud based. At KPMG, Christopher was part of the firm’s High Tech leadership team and was a founding member of that firm’s CRM practice. While at KPMG, Christopher worked to expand the practice internationally, relocating to London to help launch and grow the European CRM practice and traveling to Latin America to help launch that region as well. Upon returning to the US, Christopher was eventually promoted to run the practice globally, growing it to over 2,000 people. Mr. Paul has also held positions at the venture backed consulting firm TSC; sports technology firm MediaSports Technologies; and the environmental center at Dow Chemical.

Outside of the Office

Christopher lives in Mountain View, CA with his wife of 13 years, Mary Kay and their three daughters. They enjoy hiking, swimming and especially love heading up to Lake Tahoe during ski season. Christopher also likes to combine his love of international travel with his interests in architecture and nature photography. Christopher also makes an annual pilgrimage to Lambeau Field to cheer on the Green Bay Packers.

Education and Service

Mr. Paul graduated from Carnegie Mellon, where he also worked at the SEI - the software research arm of the Department of Defense. He and his wife are active in their church and school and also have helped organize a Relay for Life team the past several years.
