Overview
Susan Paul is the Chief People Officer of Pariveda Solutions. She brings more than 30 years of advisory and operational capabilities at fast growth public, private, PE backed companies and non-profit boards. Firsthand operating experience ‘walking the talk’ in organization transformation, operating model design and change leadership makes her a better advisor and change agent. Susan enjoys developing strategies that support an organization’s purpose and nurturing them to life, creating organizational value for all stakeholders. Prior roles include leading the Dallas and Houston offices as well as our Strategic Organization focus.
Experience
Susan has thirty years of management and technology consulting experience working across a variety of industries. Susan advises her clients on organization design and alignment, increasing leadership effectiveness, talent assessment, operating model alignment, governance and process improvement and change leadership and enablement. Her focus is on developing solutions that can be acted upon quickly and pragmatically.
She has held executive roles at three different high-paced growth companies who have consistently won Best Places to Work awards locally and nationally. She is a sought-after mentor and coach at all levels. Susan led Parieda’s Dallas office transformation to re-structure our largest office to be able to scale while maintaining the community and connectedness of teams. The effort positively changed the growth and profitability trajectory as we passed $50+M in revenue. Standardized reporting, performance management and talent development processes were adopted across the organization.
Prior to joining Pariveda Solutions in 2008, Susan served as Avanade’s Americas National Sales Director, driving revenue growth and implementing standardized sales operations. She has served in a leadership capacity with several professional services firms including Immedient, a regional IT consultancy and Andersen Consulting.
Outside of the office
In her free time, Susan is a life-long foodie devoted to finding new and interesting things to eat and cook. Traveling to over 40 countries has provided plenty of opportunity to sample unusual culinary treats. She and her husband Jim have been married for more than 25 years and have two grown sons.
Education and service
Susan is actively involved in the community serving as Board member and Treasurer for Bold Idea, a non-profit dedicated to creating young coders, working with middle school girls and minority students in Dallas ISD. She is involved in the National Association of Corporate Directors, Executive Women’s Roundtable and her university alumni associations. Susan earned a BS from the University of Michigan with dual majors in Economics and Biochemistry. She went on to earn an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
