Mr. Jeff Townes has more than twelve years of technology consulting experience in a variety of industries with an emphasis on the architecture and delivery of applications using the Microsoft .NET platform. His areas of expertise include architecting, designing, developing and maintaining web-based applications, identity management/user provisioning systems, service-oriented applications, and custom integration software to meet enterprise needs. Mr. Townes is an active participant in Dallas-area technology groups and co-founded the DFW Architect Roundtable to promote knowledge sharing among software architects in the community.
Mr. Townes has management and technology experience spanning a range of industries, including investments, retail, insurance, energy, financial exchanges, software/high-tech, healthcare, and manufacturing. His primary areas of expertise are in architecting enterprise-scale custom solutions and leading teams to deliver all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. Jeff believes that custom solutions must be business-driven to deliver value for each organization, and he advocates Agile project management methods to align technology efforts with business goals and priorities.
Prior to joining Pariveda Solutions, Mr. Townes held consulting positions with Hitachi Consulting and Accenture. At these firms, Jeff participated in the architecture and development of custom applications and business intelligence solutions.
Jeff and his wife, Michele, enjoy vacationing to visit family, relax, and explore new cities and parks. With extended family in Oregon, Georgia, Florida, New Jersey, and Virginia, they enjoy discovering new corners of America on their way to each visit. Jeff is also an avid Texas Longhorn football fan and enjoys honing his “green thumb” in his backyard garden.
Jeff is a co-founder of the DFW Architect Roundtable, a group founded to create value for member technologists and the organizations they serve by discussing business and technology challenges, leveraging diverse experiences, and sharing information and solutions in a structured forum. He participates in the annual We Are Microsoft Charity Challenge and is an active member of the Microsoft developer community in Dallas.
Mr. Townes received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Business Honors from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Jeff is a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (C#).
