Chief Strategy and Process Officer

Overview

As Chief Strategy and Process Officer, Mr. Martinez ensures Pariveda’s processes, both client-facing and internal, align with and effectively execute its business strategy. He is responsible for driving the transition from Pariveda’s business strategy to its effective execution, determining the best process disciplines to utilize in order to maximize the collective value of the firm’s strategic functions. Mr. Martinez also leads the development and use of a roadmap and governance framework for process excellence within Pariveda. This increases the quality, productivity and innovation opportunities in its consulting engagements, as well as maximizes the effectiveness and efficiency of control and supporting processes.

Experience

Mr. Martinez has over 25 years of IT leadership, from both corporate and consulting perspectives, delivering mission-critical solutions for companies operating in the broadband telecommunications, communications infrastructure, airborne communications, transportation and logistics, and technical services industries.

His primary domains of expertise are in the areas of IT strategy, systems planning, business-IT alignment, IT effectiveness/efficiency, technical/application architecture, software solution development, production operations management, and infrastructure management. He has also driven examinations, analysis, contract negotiations, implementations, and measurements-of-effectiveness for offshore-based IT services. Additionally, Mr. Martinez has also led initiatives to analyze, plan and implement systems integration and consolidation efforts for merger and acquisition activities.

Mr. Martinez also has served as a contract technical executive at VP and CIO levels for companies in the transportation and logistics, airborne communications and technical services industries, working closely with and/or reporting to senior company executives and board members.

Mr. Martinez joined Pariveda Solutions as a Vice President in late 2008, and served as the Office Managing Vice President for the firm’s Dallas office from late 2009 through the end of 2013.

Before joining Pariveda Solutions, Mr. Martinez was President of Sibridge Consulting. Prior to Sibridge, he was a Senior Vice President at Level 3 Communications, where he led several IT organizations including those responsible for systems strategy and planning, software development, technical architecture, data warehousing and data center operations. Before working at Level 3 Mr. Martinez was an IT director at Sprint and a manager at Accenture.

Outside of the office

Hector enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys reading, tennis, golf, astronomy, water skiing, running, auto racing and aviation.

Education and Service

Mr. Martinez earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Science from Baylor University.
