Questions from Entry-level candidates
Training is a combination of formal training classes and on-the-job learning.
In your first year, you will attend a multiday class (Dolphin School) that acclimates you to Pariveda’s culture and business model and allows you to meet other new hires from across the company. On-the-job learning will come into play once you are placed on a project.
The project team and manager will help you get up to speed on the client, technology, and process. Additionally, you will have a mentor from day one who will ensure you are getting what you need.
Our job listings highlight the skills and experience required for each position. Pariveda’s solution offerings range from organization design, brand strategy, and management consulting to custom software development and technical architectural assessments.
Pariveda takes a generalist approach when assigning work to our consultants, so you will find that over your career here you will work on a variety of projects depending on the skills you bring and acquire over time. Our solutions span to solve strategic objectives, create foundational technical capabilities, and build innovative solutions.
We strive to have consultants work on projects in their local markets as much and as practical as possible. We have a leverage model where there is oversight and support from a Principal, day-to-day leadership from a Manager, and Associates and Consultants with shared goals. When we’re able to we also try to be mindful of the learning opportunities within a project and align those to employees who are in need of those opportunities. Keep in mind, this may not be a technical skill, it could be a soft skill, such as client interaction/management and presentation skills.
The bench is a time for you to learn something new that will help you ramp up on your next project. Use the time to obtain a certification, learn a new methodology, research industry trends/insights, and get involved internally. There is no shortage of ways to contribute and add value at the market and firm levels.
At this time, Pariveda does not sponsor work authorization applications. Qualified candidates for the position must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without current or future immigration assistance or sponsorship from Pariveda.
We have a hybrid model. At each project kickoff, teams develop working agreements in which they will set expectations around when, why, and how they will work in-person or remotely. Our mission is to grow people toward their highest potential and we believe that meeting in person on a semi-regular basis is important to fulfilling that mission. We work in teams and, as such, should design a hybrid working experience that works best for the team and client.
We are not a travel heavy consulting firm. We have more of a localized model. That said, travel can vary by office but to be safe, we tell everyone you may travel anywhere from 10-20% over the lifetime of your career with Pariveda. You are reimbursed for travel.
