Overview
As a Principal at Pariveda Solutions, Jim has over seventeen years of management and technology consulting experience spanning the software, energy, and manufacturing industries. One of his primary areas of expertise is energy industry IT and operations. Jim has extensive experience working in large corporate environments and building enterprise-wide solutions. He has delivered solutions in the areas of IT strategy, large system implementation, organizational strategy, process management, pricing management, enterprise architecture development, project management, customer relationship management, custom application development and sales force automation. In addition, Jim has significant experience in strategic information systems planning for businesses and IT organizations.
Experience
Mr. Crysdale began his consulting career early with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. Jim founded a small consulting organization focused primarily on client-server and IVR development. Mr. Crysdale was responsible for all aspects of running the company from business development to project delivery. Mr. Crysdale then went on to join Tactica Technology Group and gained significant experience in the energy industry, specifically deregulated markets. At Tactica, Jim led the a major focus on IT organizational planning, IT strategy, Enterprise Application Integration, and shared systems development. Mr. Crysdale spent most of his time working with some of the largest retail energy, ISOs, and utility companies in North America. Mr. Crysdale then went on to spend a number of years working in the retail energy space. Jim first served as Sr. Director of IT and Operations for the largest retail energy provider in North America.
Responsibilities at in this role included all operations for commercial and industrial customers in the Texas market, infrastructure, network services, custom software development, vendor management, and support. Mr. Crysdale also served as the market advisor for regulatory decisions. He then went on to serve as Vice President of IT and Operations of a middle tier retail energy provider which was looking to expand their foot print and build an infrastructure to support a national presence. Mr. Crysdale has recently returned to the business of IT consulting and continues to focus his attentions on the energy industry, from wholesale to retail and overall market operations.
Out of the Office
When not working, Jim enjoys biking, the arts, and sports cars. Jim spends his time outside work with his wife Linda and their Golden Retriever. Both are active members in various dog rescue programs in the area and work as volunteers for local animal shelters.
Education
Mr. Crysdale received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from DeVRY Institute of Technology, Magna Cum Laude 1991. Jim participates in several utility/energy organizations and serves as a member of the DeVRY Alumni Association.
