Overview
Melanie is primarily responsible for financial reporting and analysis, tax compliance and internal processes related to financial operations. She joined Pariveda in April 2005 and has been instrumental in developing Pariveda’s infrastructure while Pariveda has experienced annual double digit growth.
Experience
Melanie has over 20 years of experience in industry and public accounting. She spent four years at Arthur Andersen LLP in the financial consulting and audit division prior to moving into industry. While at Andersen, Melanie gained experience in auditing, process reengineering, government contracting, corporate bankruptcy and SEC compliance. Her clients were in various industries, including Information Technology, Manufacturing, Healthcare and the Defense Industry.
Melanie’s career in the IT consulting industry for the last nine years has allowed her to develop an understanding of the financial and operational metrics that drive a successful consultancy. Prior to joining Pariveda, she worked at Hitachi Consulting; her roles included Tax Manager and Assistant Controller and she was primarily involved in domestic and international tax compliance and accounting for foreign operations. She was also the controller at Tactica Technology Group prior to its purchase by Hitachi.
Out of the Office
When not at work, Melanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, the arts and walking her chocolate lab, Herschel. She has been married to her husband Mark since 1989 and they have two children. She also participates in the many community service events that Pariveda sponsors; her favorites include the Heart Walk, Habitat for Humanity and the Ronald McDonald House.
Education and Service
Melanie received a B.B.A in Accounting from Texas Christian University in 1985 and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. She regularly serves on various committees at her childrens’ schools and is currently committed to working on the quarterly Beyond My Front Door community service day at Dallas Lutheran School.
