Overview
Mr. Alin Dinu is an experienced technology leader and architect who excels in fast pace environments, has a proven ability to define and execute technology strategy, and deliver enterprise systems and projects. As a Principal at Pariveda Solutions he will leverage his diverse experience in start-up and Fortune 500 companies across oil and gas, self-serve retail, and media online publishing to guide technology plans and teams in solution delivery.
Experience
Alin has over 11 years experience ranging from mobile platforms, enterprise architecture, project delivery, and technology strategy.
Prior to Pariveda Solutions, Alin lead the digital product development teams at Hearst Newspapers where he managed a strategic consolidation of systems, definition of technology strategy for mobile and cloud, delivered key new digital products including advertising and tablet platforms, and significantly improved product and software delivery processes.
In 2005 he joined and spent five years leading the technology organization of a fast-growth retail start-up through multiple investment rounds and ultimate acquisition by NCR Corporation in 2009. While there he developed the enterprise architecture and platform to support 5000+ self-service retail locations, implemented enterprise back-office systems, and ultimately lead the systems integration during the acquisition. Milestones included deploying the industry’s first fleet-wide cellular wireless network, development of secure transaction processing systems, recruiting and building the technology team, and implementation of the online rental reservation system. Alin also spent five years at ConocoPhillips Inc. as a developer, analyst, and project manager.
Out of the Office
Alin most enjoys spending time with his wife, Lesley, and family when outside of the office. He’s a proud Houstonian and foodie that loves to explore the city to find unique foods and restaurants. An avid consumer technologist he often researches, discusses, and looks for the next personal or home “upgrade.”
Education and Service
A proud Cougar and graduate of the University of Houston Bauer College of Business Alin received a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems and minor in European Studies. While at University of Houston Alin was involved in growing and leading the MIS Student Organization and other student groups and enjoys continuing to support his alma mater as an alumni.
