Overview
As an advance degreed engineer with 20 years of Information Technology experience, Jim brings structured approaches and best practice experience to Pariveda’s Denver office and to the clients he serves. Originally trained in “Big 5” accounting/consulting firms, he has the discipline to deliver and the understanding of what is truly effective for today’s pressure cooked organizations. As a former telecommunications IT Director, Jim has lived on the same side of the desk as many of his clients, and knows the struggles of providing IT leadership, mentoring team members, and improving the utilization of IT assets to meet business needs.
Experience
Jim has more than two decades of experience recommending technology solutions and implementing eBusiness, portal, CRM, and ERP information systems. He has key expertise in open architecture integration of operational systems to drive revenue and increase efficiency. Jim has directed high profile efforts in the telecommunications, retail, pharmaceutical, distribution, manufacturing, and financial industries.
Jim has led large-scale change initiatives and enabled business growth through process and technology redesign. His tactical and strategic IT leadership for Colorado and international clients has resulted in successful implementation of multiple CRM (Siebel, Clarify, Blue Martini) and ERP (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards) solutions.
Jim has also implemented IT operational solutions including helpdesk/service request systems allowing online self-generation of helpdesk tickets for employees and customers, reducing call center call volume and issue resolution time. A few examples of Jim's professional experience include IT strategy leadership, IT and operations organization strategy, international financial and ERP system mapping, next generation B-to-B and B-to-C web sites, and an Oracle eBusiness suite implementation.
Out of the Office
Jim enjoys the outdoor recreational opportunities of the Colorado high country. In the early mornings you might find him training for the next marathon. Weekends will find Jim hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park’s back country or snow skiing at a local resort. Jim has been married to Lori for over 20 years and has four sons who are actively engaged in various degrees of mischief.
Education and Service
Jim holds an MS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a BSIE from Texas A&M University. He has spoken at a number of national conferences including CRM and Support Services, Industrial Engineering Solutions, and Customer 360°. In addition, Jim is registered Professional Engineer in Texas. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Historic Longmont Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to enhance, elevate, and promote the preservation of the Longmont, Colorado (Boulder County) area historical, architectural, visual, and environmental heritage through advocacy, education, intervention, and alliance building.
