Mentoring

Every employee who joins Pariveda is assigned a mentor.  A mentor is not a coach, but rather someone who can guide you and give you advice on your career goals.  This independent view into your career is a valuable tool to help you advance.

Colloquiums

On a bi-monthly basis, various individuals across the company sponsor Colloquiums that deal with a specific topic relevant, but not necessarily directly related to the kind of work we do.  These informal groups are designed to create collaborative discussions about a broad range of topics from business strategies to enterprise architecture.

Schools

Pariveda has a number of schools that employees are required to attend throughout their careers.  At the beginning of your career, our Dolphin School introduces you to the company, our core values, strategic plan and various tools that you will need to progress.  Then, you attend a development boot camp that teaches and hones your technical skills.  Next comes small team leadership school followed by manager school.  At all levels our employees are being trained and challenged to grow in their careers.

Certification Study Groups

One of the things we encourage is for employees to always be working on some type of certification in order to extend their understanding across a technology or domain.  You can often find groups of folks huddled up in the corner studying and encouraging one another for an upcoming .NET exam or SharePoint certification.  These are fun and engaging activities and develop your ability to work as a team and coach and mentor others.

Zaastra

Zaastra is a Pariveda continuing education initiative designed to create a consistent, fun, informative and fulfilling learning session across offices. Once a month we conduct an all Fins learning session consisting of two concurrent presentations hosted and presented locally at all offices simultaneously. Zaastra provides a standing night and time for Fins to teach each other on a variety of topics and to socialize over food and drinks.

Networking Skills Roundtable

Unlocking the value of life-long relationships or “Networking for Life” is a concept that we teach at all levels of the firm.  Understanding the value of relationships is core to our mission and essential given that our firm employs no direct sales force.  All of our employees are responsible for maintaining and extending their relationships because often the people we know will need assistance in solving a complex business problem through technology.  If you maintain a relationship for life, you may be in a good position to help them out.  The relationship roundtables exist as an informal training exercise with the executive leadership of the firm and explore ideas on how each individual can make the “Pariveda story,” their story. 

FinFest

Each year, we host a day of in-depth presentations by our consultants on important and often new technologies.  Teams of consultants prepare the presentations and most of the company attends the event.  Please click here for more detailed information.

Technology User Group Meetings

We have many relationships with technology vendors who sponsor networking meetings or learning sessions.  We encourage all of our employees to attend and seek leadership roles in these important local meetings.

Industry and Technology Conferences

Each year, our key technology vendors like Microsoft sponsor conferences where individuals can go and learn about the latest and greatest offerings coming to market.
