Career Path

Career paths at Pariveda follow a clearly defined advancement plan.  The career path is comprised of five classifications: Consultant, Associate, Manager, Principal, and Vice President.  As consultants progress through their careers, they will be expected to take on new challenges by taking more active roles in client engagements and mentoring others.
All new consultants will be given the opportunity to make significant contributions from their first day of employment.  By working alongside more senior level consultants in smaller teams, Pariveda consultants are able to strengthen their skills and gain plenty of client engagement experience.  Such an approach allows for effective coaching and mentoring of every consultant at Pariveda.

As consultants progress through their career, they will develop a core set of business and technical skills.  They will develop our intellectual capital, build on client relationships, and lead others.  These are important expectations by which all Pariveda consultants are evaluated for promotion to higher levels of the organization.

Consultant

As a Consultant at Pariveda, you will work on a project team to deliver technology solutions to our customers.  Most of your projects will primarily involve designing, coding and testing technology solutions, but you may work on IT strategy or process projects as well.  You will interact with clients regularly and may write and deliver presentations for them.  You will be expected to manage your own time and communicate status and issues to your project manager. You will also be involved in building our company by contributing to intellectual capital development, training or other activities that interest you.

Associate

As an Associate with Pariveda, you will work on a project team to deliver technology solutions to our customers.  Most of your projects will involve working with our clients to understand and document their business and technology requirements and then designing, coding and testing technology solutions. You may work on IT strategy or process projects as well.  On some projects, you may be a team lead for one or more consultants.  You will also be involved in building our company by participating in intellectual capital development, training, recruiting, business development and other activities that interest you.

Manager

As a Manager with Pariveda, you will lead project teams to deliver solutions to our customers.  On application development projects, you will be the primary day-to-day contact with your client and manager of your team.  In this capacity, you will be responsible for project estimating, work planning, issues management, risk management and change control.  On IT strategy or process projects, you may be a member of a team with more senior Pariveda consultants.  You may also be involved in the business development process by supporting sales efforts and developing proposals.  You will be expected to take an internal leadership role in one or more areas to grow our company and to coach, mentor and review junior employees who may or may not be on your project team.

Principal and Vice President

Principals and Vice Presidents focus on new business development, client project delivery and management, recruitment and career development of our employees, and development of Pariveda’s national capabilities.  We do not have a dedicated professional sales staff; instead all of our Principals and Vice Presidents propose deals, navigate them through the sales cycle, and then manage the delivery of the project work.  This group also forms our Management Team, which works together with the Executive Team to drive the direction of the company.
