Pariveda Solutions Ranks #9 in Dallas Morning News Top 100 Places to Work 2009
Pariveda Solutions was recently honored with the number nine ranking in the Dallas Morning News Top 100 Places to Work 2009, as well as with the number three ranking in the small company category. In its inaugural year, the Dallas Morning News Top 100 Workplaces award seeks to recognize big and small companies and organizations that excel at creating a dynamic, supportive and inclusive workplace. “This is a great testament to our people and the culture we are building together,” said Brian Orrell, Pariveda’s Chief Technology Officer.
More than 33,000 employees of participating companies gave their opinions on leadership, ethics, career opportunities, company direction and work-life flexibility. “Being recognized as one of the top ten best places to work in Dallas is a special honor for us as the basis for the award is direct employee input – people intimately familiar with their company, living in its culture daily.” said Lori Dipprey, Director of Talent Development & Recruiting. “There is nothing more gratifying than to hear that the company is in fact as great as you told them it would be during the recruiting process.”
Workplace Dynamics LLC in Exton, PA. conducted the survey and crafted the best list for the Dallas Morning News. According Workplace Dynamics co-founder Doug Claffey “if you create an environment where people want to work, you get better profits, better customer satisfaction and better financial results.”
Pariveda has found this to be true even in this struggling economy when leadership, communication and motivating people have never been more important. “Pariveda is by nature a transparent organization. Each quarter we review our financials with all employees in the company and let them know what we are doing and where we are headed,” said Bruce Ballengee, CEO and co-founder of Pariveda Solutions, Inc. Pariveda also recently implemented a brief bi-weekly call hosted by the leadership team in which employees are encouraged to ask questions anonymously about the state of the company. This type of transparency while unusual is extremely important to Ballengee. “This high level of communication ensures that our employees can see the successes and the challenges of the organization.”

Put on by The Dallas Morning News and its partner, Workplace Dynamics LLC, this is the inaugural year of the Top 100 Workplaces award. Companies eligible for participation included public or private companies, as well as for-profit and nonprofit organizations with more than 50 employees in the DFW metroplex. The award seeks to recognize big and small companies and organizations that excel at creating a dynamic, supportive and inclusive workplace.
Each entry is judged based on an employee opinion survey. All employees rate their employer in different categories such as business operations, values, policies and facilities. More than 33,000 employees in the DFW area were surveyed, and based on that 100 companies made the top 100 list. McCarthy, along with Southwest Airlines and The Richards Group took home the top three coveted spots on this long list of the Top 100 Workplaces.
