Over 35 volunteers helped kick off the first annual Midwest GiveCamp which was held July 9th through July 11th. Following the GiveCamp tradition, the weekend-long event provided an opportunity for technology professionals from organizations throughout the Greater Chicago Area to donate time to provide technology solutions to non-profit organizations. These organizations have a wide range of technology needs, but don’t have the resources or budget to fulfill the requirements on their own. Since the GiveCamp program’s inception in 2007, over 150 charities have benefitted in over $100,000 worth of time in developer and designer services.
Pariveda’s Chief Technology Officer, Brian Orrell along with fins Michael Steinberg, Dan Luszcz and Geoffrey Schiffli teamed up to build a content management website for the Caregiver Connection. Travis Feirtig, a GiveCamp host, provided the scope for the project and helped support the Pariveda team throughout the weekend. Team Pariveda was even able to arrange a mid-development discussion with the Caregiver Connection to ensure the build was going to encompass all their needs.
