About Matt
As a Manager at Pariveda, Matt partners with his clients to build solutions to difficult business problems. He has experience delivering both Business Intelligence applications and custom development projects. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring, and is constantly seeking to learn from others. Matt was nominated for the Pariveda Leadership Award for his exceptional exhibition of integrity and excellence.
Experience
Matt has more than seven years of Business Intelligence, software development, and project management experience focused on the technology and energy industries. A dedicated technologist, he has worked with leading scientists to implement cutting edge research into practical applications. He has delivered software on UNIX servers, Linux clusters, as well as Windows PCs. He has also developed IT processes to increase stakeholder satisfaction with technology application and software delivery.
While at Pariveda, he has led the development of several data warehouses, a custom employee on boarding application, several custom web application solutions, and most recently managed the implementation of a worldwide web analytics platform for a major internet travel site.
Prior to joining Pariveda, Matt worked at major integrated oil company for 6 years developing scientific applications for modeling well conditions and imaging the subsurface of the Earth.
Just For Fun
Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing board games, reading, running and barbecuing. His most important roles are as a husband to his wife Carrie and as a Dad to his children, Danny and Kaylee. On more than one occasion, Matt’s been seen on the streets of Bellevue chasing down his two escape artist beagles, Daisy and Dozer.
Education and Service
Matt graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Computer Science. He earned his M.B.A from The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. Matt regularly volunteers as a mentor, teacher, and occasional DJ to the youth in his church.
